"readmes" is a wais database server.  It has indexed a large number of 
README files out in Alex.  Get a copy of readmes.src for all the info
you need for your wais server.

If you do not have wais take a look at alt.wais on netnews or FTP
to wais.think.com.


readmes.untared is the directory tree will all of the readme files

readmes.tar.Z   is the .tar.Z for all of the readme files as of the 
                date of the file (if you are building a database just
                ask me and I will update this .tar.Z file for you.
                Uncompressed this is over 117 MB.
